BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Thank you for considering volunteering for the Friends of Barefoot Beach Preserve. As you know Barefoot Beach Preserve was extensively damaged due to Hurricane Ian. In November 2023 Collier County was able to re-open the Preserve with sand access to the beach via parking lot #3. Parking lot #1, the Learning Center, butterfly and cactus garden areas and the Saylor Trail continue to be off limits to all visitors and volunteers.

At this time, we cannot accept any volunteer applications as we await clearance from Collier County to resume our volunteer activities. We are currently exploring with Collier County the possibility of hosting clean-up opportunities, so please check back to our website as we will update it as soon as more information is available.

We’d Love to Have You Help . . .

Volunteers play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the Friends of Barefoot Beach Preserve.  Volunteer opportunities abound from beach cleanup, gardening, becoming a docent, interacting with visitors, tree trimming, invasive plant removal, painting, maintenance, gopher tortoise watch, serving on the board or helping with special projects.  Please consider making a commitment to join our team.
